The sympathizers of the Communist Party (PCRM) who took part in a march in Chisinau on May 29 demand that the ruling alliance resign unconditionally. A resolution adopted during the event says the government coalition should voluntarily resign as they still can preserve their political image and the remnants of the socioeconomic stability as well as the possibility of establishing a democratic government and strengthening the sovereignty of the Moldovan people, Info-Prim Neo reports. The participants in the march said the administration should admit that they failed to achieve the social, economic and cultural objectives and to promote the national interests. The resolution says that the regime and its representatives that came to power by pogroms, vote rigging, lies and bribery have no moral and political rights to rule the country. “They don't have the right to organize democratic elections and represent the Moldovan people and talk in their name. Moreover, they don't have the right to deprive our people of independence and European prospects as they showed their non-professionalism,” reads the resolution. The marchers said that during two years the ruling alliance has 'suffocated' the people with rising prices and tariffs, caused a social, economic and administrative catastrophe, stopped the European integrations process and substituted it with national treason and liquidation of the statehood. “In the end, they destroyed their own alliance and kept only its exterior. They hate the people. Such a government is a shame for every citizen of the country,” it is said in the resolution. According to the demonstrators, Moldova can return to a normal development path only if the ruling alliance resigns willingly. The organizers said the march involved 50,000 people. The police yet reported there were about 10,000 marchers.
