State-of-the-art electrocardiographs and pulse oximeters have been donated by Switzerland to health centers in 25 districts of Moldova, IPN reports.
The donation includes 197 electrocardiographs and 445 pulse oximeters, which will be distributed to 142 health centers. The donation is estimated at 330,670 Swiss francs.
“The donation from Switzerland for triage rooms is an important act of support for public institutions of primary health care, representing a direct contribution to the quality of health care provided to patients”, said Health State Secretary Ion Prisacaru.
Both types of devices are portable, enabling in-home care services.
Switzerland is one of the largest bilateral donors to Moldova’s health care sector.
