The Government of Sweden will donate AT-4 portable anti-tank launchers to Moldova. According to the Swedish authorities, in the context of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Moldova is in a very vulnerable position, being on the border with Ukraine, IPN reports.
"Moldova is in great need of assistance, including military support. It is in the interest of Sweden's foreign and security policy to support Moldova as a matter of urgency," reads a press release issued by the Swedish Government.
The Swedish Government intends to donate to the Republic of Moldova anti-tank weapons worth a total of 13,000,000 Swedish kronor, the equivalent of about €1,133,000. The money was earmarked through the supplementary amended budget containing the 18th package of military support for Ukraine.
