Sweden to cover 80% of agriculture census costs in Moldova

The government of Sweden will offer Moldova a 74 million lei grant that will cover 80 percent of the costs of the census of agriculture to be conducted in the country, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Moldovan Government is to initiate negotiations on the financing agreement with the Swedish side. The remaining 19.2 million lei will be allocated from the state budget. The census of agriculture will be conducted in 2010 and will comprise an inventory of farmland, farm constructions, number of livestock, and farm equipment.
