Suspects of crimes under arrest

The police arrested suspects in two cases of murder that happened in Chisinau in October as a result of drinking bouts, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Ministry of the Interior. One of the detained men aged 46 is suspected of killing a 43-year-old man. His body was found on October 17 in Chisinau's Centru district. He had stab wounds in the region of the neck. At the suspect's place, the police found the murder weapon – a knife and clothes with blood stains. In another case, the body of a man under putrefaction was found in an apartment on Nicolae Costin Street in Chisinau on October 26. He had signs of a violent death on the body. The police established that the man was 54 and was the owner of the apartment. Two suspects were detained in this case. They are partners aged 48 and 39. The man had been earlier tried for several times and spent 27 years in jail. The woman served nine years in prison for murdering her farther. If found guilty of premeditated murder, the suspects would serve 16 to 20 years behind bars. As many as 128 murders had been recorded in Moldova during ten months.
