The samples taken from two grownups and two children who were suspected of catching the COVID-19 tested negative for the virus, Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu was quoted by IPN as saying in a press briefing.

According to the minister, six adult persons brought from border crossing points were admitted to the Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital “Toma Ciorbă”. They returned from risk zones and are treated as suspected case. Samples were taken from them for examination.

Viorica Dumbrăveanu said the isolating transportation units are used in the case of very serious infections. In the case of COVID-19, these are not necessary, according to the recommendations of the World Health Organization. “In the case of the coronavirus, the patients are transported by an ambulance. There are no special requirements in such cases, but the medical personnel must mandatorily wear personal protective equipment,” noted the minister.

She also said that the state of the woman infected with the novel coronavirus has slightly improved. She no longer needs assisted ventilation.
