The police arrested a man who is suspected of killing the two teens aged 15 and 17 from Mereșeni village of Hâncești district. The teens were found carbonized, with signs of violent death, in their home destroyed by fire. A friend of the two aged 18 suffered injuries and was hospitalized, IPN reports.
The incident happened on November 25. The police were alerted after midnight. The carbonized bodies of a girl and a boy aged 15 and 17 were found inside the house. There was also found a young man with head injuries caused by a hard object. The police determined that the mobile phones of the victims and an ax disappeared from the home.
The Prosecutor General’s Office said it started a criminal case over deliberate murder and ordered a medical-legal examination of the bodies and the dactyloscopic examination of the goods seized at the scene.
In the evening of November 27 , the police arrested a man aged 23 from Caracui village. This voluntarily yielded the mobiles phones of the victims to the police. The presupposed murder weapon, the ax, was also found and seized.
The young man admitted his guilt, saying he got acquainted with the victims through social networking sites and on November 24 went to visit them. They drank alcoholic beverages together. A disagreement degenerated into a quarrel and the suspect hit the three teens with the ax and set the house on fire.
