The surgical block of the Chisinau Clinical Hospital “Saint Archangel Mikhail” was reopened after extensive renovation on January 13. It was repaired and outfitted with modern equipment at a cost of 14 million lei. The money was allocated from the municipal budget, the hospital’s budget and the Energy Efficiency Fund, IPN reports.
Attending the inauguration, head of the Chisinau Health Division Mihai Moldovanu said the repair works lasted for two years. The last extensive renovations to the hospital were carried out about 25 years ago.
The surgical block’s rooms, piping and ventilation systems were repaired and modernized. “I think now this block is one of the kind in Moldova and you will see nothing similar in other health facilities,” stated Mihai Moldovanu.
