The Government is proposing the Parliament to ratify a financing agreement with the International Development Association for 5.3 million drawing rights, and a loan agreement with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development for $12.58 million in order to implement the Preparation Of The Tax Administration Modernization Project (TAMP). Both institutions are Wolrd Bank organizations.
The money offered to Moldova with these agreements will help to improve fiscal policy as well as the institutional and operational capacity of the State Fiscal Inspectorate.
The agreements were approved by the World Bank’s Board of Directors on 6 June 2016. On the same date, the Moldovan Government approved a plan to restructure the State Fiscal Inspectorate. The project, which will result in the merging of the 36 existing territorial fiscal inspectorates into a single body, is planned to be completed by the end of 2021.
