Supervisory Board warns TRM over unsatisfactory presentation of certain documents

The Supervisory Board of Teleradio-Moldova (TRM) Thursday warned the management of the company over the unsatisfactory presentation of the documents regarding the fulfilment of the budget for 2007. A number of Board members expressed their dissatisfaction with the lack of information and figures in the documents that show how the company’s budget was fulfilled in the first seven months of this year. Veaceslav Ionita accused TRM of spending illegally certain sums of money and of purchasing three cars and equipment without the Board’s consent. He said that the Prosecutor General’s Office should investigate these cases. Adela Railean, director of the national television channel, said that the purchased equipment and cars are strictly necessary for the company’s functioning. The Supervisory Board approved the company’s report on condition that TRM presents all the necessary information within 30 days.
