The hearing of the report on the implementation of reforms at “Teleradio-Moldova” Company (TRM) without presenting relevant written information beforehand is a violation of the Regulations of the Supervisory Board, the Board members Veaceslav Ionita and Igor Munteanu said on January 23, Info-Prim Neo reports. At the Supervisory Board’s meeting of January 23, the report was the first item on the agenda and this fact aroused the dissatisfaction of the two members. Veaceslav Ionita and Igor Munteanu said they did not study the report in advance as the Regulations stipulate and it was not accompanied by an informative note. They demanded once again that the Board’s members be provided with the necessary materials several days before the meetings. But the other members said they are in favour of hearing the report. The Board’s president Mariana Slapac stated that the informative note is only a part of the final report and there was no problem if the report was heard. Viorel Cibotaru said that the information refers to certain aspects only and there are more serious problems they should address and not block the activity of the Board. The president of TRM Valentin Todercan presented the report, saying that the subdivisions and personnel departments of the Company’s apparatus have been reorganized; the conception of the Company’s reformation is being implemented; public meetings are organized with the employees where they put up their proposals, discuss issued related to remuneration, re-equipment. Todercan also said that the air time increased from 11 to 18 hours a day on TV and from 18 to 24 hours on the radio. Igor Munteanu described the presented information as rough and said that the fact that the Board members were not given time to examine it thoroughly constitutes disrespect to them. Another issue that aroused controversy at the meeting was the programme “Rezonans” broadcast on TV “Moldova 1”. Viorel Cibotaru said that the programme should not be transmitted instead of the news bulletin “Mesager” in Russian, which is put on air on Saturday. According to him, the author of the programme (Constantin Staras) violates the legislation in his programmes. Igor Munteanu said this program should not be screened and demanded that the documents containing the conditions of broadcasting it be presented at the next meeting. On the other hand, the director of TV “Moldova 1” Adela Raileanu said that “Rezonans” continues to be the most popular programme in Moldova, according to surveys. At the same meeting, the participants approved the broadcast schedules of the national public radio station and television channel. But the schedules will be further amended at the request of some of the Supervisory Board members. Ionita and Munteanu left the meeting hall while these issued were being examined, saying there was not enough information about the broadcast schedules.
