A number of tents to provide shelter from the sun were pitched in Orhei town following an ordinance made by Mayor Ilan Shor, who ordered that the tents during the dog days should provide free drinking water to the residents, IPN reports, quoting the Orhei mayor’s press service.

The tents were put up in the most crowded places of Orhei – at the Bus Terminal and near the central market. The residents and guests of the town form lines at the tents from morning.

In hot weather, it is recommended avoiding prolonged exposure to the sun between 11am and 6p and drinking as much liquid as possible, excluding alcohol. The orange code advisory for dog days in Moldova covers the period until July 10, when temperatures will start to decrease.
