Summer school for young civil society leaders from EU and EaP countries

In the period between September 28 and October 2, the Civic Academy will be holding a summer school in Poland to help participants understand the meaning of responsibility both in public service and corporate activities, as well as to discuss critical challenges Europe and the world is currently facing. It is aimed at young civil society leaders from Poland, European Union and EaP countries, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the organizers.
The program of Civic Academy is twofold. First of all, it’s based on seminars and meetings with distinguished academics and politicians as well as workshops led by experienced coaches projected to equip attendants with better understanding of a meaning of responsibility in public issues. Secondly, it consists of participation in plenary sessions and panel debates during EFNI, providing participants with opportunity to interact with some of the most outstanding businessman from all over the world.
A maximum of 30 young civil society leaders and community organizers will be selected based on merit and geographic balance. Travel costs are to be covered by the participants, who will also pay a program fee of €100 for EU participants and of € 30 for EaP participants. Civic Academy is a companion program of the European Forum of New Ideas – business summit organized on the occasion of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union under honorary patronage of Bronisław Komorowski, President of the Republic of Poland, Herman van Rompuy, President of the European Council and Jerzy Buzek, President of the European Parliament.
