About 19,000 children from Chisinau municipality will rest at summer camps inside and outside the city this summer. As of June 5, 23 day camps will start work in Chisinau and these will welcome about 3,000 children. Tickets cost 1,120 lei for 15 days, without Saturdays and Sundays. Of this sum, parents pay only 20% or 224 lei, IPN reports.
15% of the tickets at day camps will be distributed free to children from socially deprived families, one-parent families and families with many children and to children whose parents took part in the Nistru war, the Afghan war, the Chernobyl cleanup, etc.
The children from boarding schools - 1,051 students - will traditionally rest at the summer camps “Ciresarii” and “Alunelul”, starting with June 2.
The summer camps from outside Chisinau start work gradually in June, in accordance with the tender contest results.
A number of 18,935 children will go to summer camps this year. Of these, 4,530 will get free tickets.
