The summer camps for children situated in Chisinau and outside the capital city started work on June 3. As many as 20 day camps and three full-program camps intended for over 15,500 students from the municipality will be available this summer.
In a response to IPN, the municipal Division of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport says a ticket to a full-program camp costs 1,950 lei for ten days. Of this sum, the parents pay 20%, which is 390 lei. For a ticket to a day camp, the parents pay 310 lei, which is 20% of its price. Also, 3,534 students will rest at camps free of charge.
The day camps are housed by education institutions of Chisinau, while the full-program camps are “Cireșarii” in Vadul lui Vodă town, “Alunelul” in Bardar village of Ialoveni district and “Poienița Veselă” in Dănceni village of Ialoveni district. The tickets are distributed to education institutions where the children study.
To prepare the full-program camps for welcoming students, the municipality allocated almost 4 million lei. The organization of the leisure activities and programs of the camps cost over 27 million lei.
Under an order made by the Chisinau City Hall, students from socially deprived families, those whose parents took part in wars and others rest at summer camp free. About 100 ticket to camps will be offered to students from Țânțăreni village of Anenii Noi district.
