The summer camps all over the country are ready to start work following repair and disinfection works carried out there. The situation of the camps was examined in a meeting of the national extraordinary public health commission, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué from the Government.
Deputy Prime Minister Tatiana Potang, who chaired the meeting, instructed the responsible institutions to inform the camp managers, mayor’s offices and local general education divisions about all the deficiencies identified at the national summer camps for children so that they remedy the situation within a certain period.
In the same meeting, it was underlined that the cholera epidemiological situation has been stable over the last 12 years and there wasn’t detected the bacteria that causes this disease. The acute diarrheal diseases rank third by the number of cases, after the acute respiratory infections and parasitic diseases. About 19 cases of acute diarrheal diseases are recorded annually.
