Suicide is the only version examined by the police in the case of the parachutist who died in Vadul lui Voda. Vitalie Basiul, head of the Prosecution Division of the Criuleni Police Inspectorate, has told IPN that the parachute had the straps cut. A suicide note was found in the man’s car, IPN reports.

The man was together with the instructor in the plane from which he jumped. Persons who knew him said the man didn’t look depressive.

The case happened at the sports airport in Vadul lui Voda on October 6. The man parachuted from the required height, but the parachute didn’t open out. The collision with the ground was fatal for him.

The man was 40. He wasn’t married and didn’t have children.
