Two drivers aged 33 and 28 and a three-month-old girl died in a traffic accident at the entrance to Corlăteni village of Râșcani district last night. A Skoda Octavia car changed lanes and collided head-on with a Toyota Auris car, IPN reports.
According to the police, the Bălți Police Inspectorate not long after midnight was called by a woman who said that, as a result of a conflict in the family, her husband drove away by their car. He was under the influence and threatened he will kill himself. Also then, at 00.05, the Râșcani Police Inspectorate was informed about a serious road accident near Corlăteni.
Another driver, who witnessed the accident, told the police that before the collision, the Skoda car was speeding towards Corlăteni. The driver overtook him and collided with another car 400 meters further.
The wife of the driver of the Toyota car and her cousin, who traveled as passengers, are under the supervision of doctors.
