The development of Chisinau should take place at the same pace as the development of the localities that form part of the municipality, in a planned way, said the candidate of the European Social Democratic Party (PSDE) Vadim Brînzaniuc. According to him, the inhabitants of the suburban settlements were ignored and treated superficially by all the administrations so far, while the communes and villages developed chaotically, IPN reports.
“It’s good that houses are built and the suburbs are populated, but this should imply a series of complementary measures, such as water supply and sewerage systems, asphalted roads, and modern public transport, and building of new schools and kindergartens,” stated the election contender.
According to him, the apartment buildings in the towns and villages that form part of the municipality of Chisinau should be thermally rehabilitated and should be turned into oases of harmony and safety.
“For many years, the people from the suburban settlements were lied to and used by all the administrations so far. This truth should be admitted! It is a truth that many avoid to say. All the political players so far treated the inhabitants of the villages, communes and towns of the municipality of Chisinau as electors who can be lured and used once in four years to vote for those who promised a lot of things, but didn’t do much,” stated Vadim Brînzaniuc.
He noted that this state of affairs should be changed and the PSDE has a well-structured plan for developing the suburban settlements.
