Subtyl banned as food supplement

The preparation Subtyl could no longer be sold as a food supplement, according to an order made by the Ministry of Health, IPN reports.

Officials of the National Public Health Center said the preparation will be sold in drugstores only as a medicine, which is the doctor’s instruction for treatment with this preparation will be needed.

The active substance of this preparation, which is used to treat digestive disorders, contains not fully studied bacilli and this does not allow to individually administer this as a food supplement and medical supervision is needed during treatment.
