The state will provide up to 10,000 lei subsidies to patent holders who will switch over to independent activity, for purchasing cash registers and equipping the workplace. Regulations to this effect were approved by the Government at the suggestion of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitization, IPN reports.
“The transition to independent activity implies particular requirements, primarily the use of cash registers that cost. By such a support measure, the financial barriers are reduced and we encourage patent holders to comply with the fiscal requirements, improving this way the quality of services provided by them, and create a more competitive business environment favorable to entrepreneurs. We also diminish the instruments and possibilities of tax evasion,” said Viorel Garaz, secretary of state of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitization.
Under the document, applications for subsidies can be submitted until August 31, 2023 online on www.oda.md or to the local subdivisions of the State Tax Service. Subsidies will be provided within 30 days of the acceptance of applications for costs incurred starting with January 1, 2023.
Those who switch over to the fiscal regime of independent activity can do it by buying cash registers and submitting an application to the local subdivisions of the State Tax Service with the identity card or online on www.sfs.md, by using an electronic signature. The applicants will be registered in the tax system and will benefit from subsidies to cover the cost associated with the re-equipment of the workplace.
From July 1, trade based on the entrepreneur’s patent is no longer possible. As many as 4,800 holders of patents for retail trade were registered with the State Tax Service on December 31, 2022.
