The students who contracted COVID-19 will be able to end the 14-day quarantine period earlier, after the seventh day, if they present a negative test result. The test will be done free of charge at the primary medicine institution, as the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission decided, IPN reports.
“According to the data presented by the Ministry of Education, over 11,000 students were in quarantine in the country on October 8. This way these children will be able to return to studies faster and their rights to education and health will be ensured,” said secretary of state at the Ministry of Health Svetlana Nicolăescu.
The Commission also decided that the education process at “Nicolae Testemițanu” State University of Medicine and Pharmacy will be organized in a mixt way. More exactly, the teaching activities, except for theoretical courses, will be conducted with the physical presence of students given that this university is an active promoter of vaccination where immunization coverage among students is of over 95%, while among teaching staff is of over 97%.
The new provisions take effect on October 11.
