Students struggle to obtain free access to dorms at any hour

The Free Students Club gathered over 4,000 signatures in support of the initiative to allow the students to enter freely the dorms at any hour, Info-Prim Neo reports. In a communiqué, the Club says the signatures were collected from students living in university dorms situated in the municipalities of Chisinau and Balti and in Cahul town. The students consider that banning access to the dormitories at night is an injustice and a leftover from the Soviet Communist regime. The signature collection campaign was launched two weeks ago and continues by sending the lists with signatures attached to applications to the rectors’ offices of universities that have dorms and to the Ministry of Education.
