Students speaking other languages than Romanian take first Baccalaureate exam

More than 3,500 students speaking other languages than Romanian take the first Baccalaureate exam - in the Romanian language and literature - on June 2. The exam is sat in 68 Baccalaureate centers, IPN reports, quoting the Ministry of Education.

On June 5, there will be taken the exam in the language of study, on June 9 – the exam in the foreign language, while on Jun 12 – the math exam (students studying exacts sciences) and the exam in the Romanian and universal history (students studying humanities). The students studying arts, sport and technology will also sit specialized exams. On June 16, the candidates will take the exam in the subject of their choice. These chose one of the seven subjects proposed by the National Exams Commission – geography, physics, chemistry, biology, math, Romanian and universal history, and informatics. The last Baccalaureate exam of this session will take place on June 19 – in the mother tongue (Ukrainian, Bulgarian, and Gagauz).

The Baccalaureate exams will be taken in 103 Baccalaureate centers. The exam papers will be graded in the period between June 2 and June 26. The exam results will be posted in the Baccalaureate centers on June 27. The students will have 48 hours to challenge the grades – on June 27 and 28. The final results, after the examination of challenges, will be made public on July 6.

The additional Baccalaureate session will take place on July 16-23. The Ministry of Education said 26,818 candidates will take Baccalaureate exams this year. Of these, 7,533 are students who didn’t pass the exams during the previous session.
