Students of over 160 education institutions stay at home because of cold

The classes in 45 institutions, three of which based in Chisinau, were shortened to 30-35 minutes. In 14 settlements of Falesti, Cantemir and Riscani districts, the students could not be taken to school because the roads were impassable. The school managers and teacher councils are to set a schedule for holding the failed classes. Violina Lavric, consultant of the Education Ministry’s PR and Communication Service, said that all the universities work according to the ordinary program. “The temperature in some of the lecture halls is lower and the lectures are given in other rooms, where it is warmer,” said the consultant. The Education Ministry also said that the education institutions in 11 districts work as usual.
