In connection with the start of the new school year, the National Health Insurance Company informs the students about the procedure for registering with the family doctor. In case of students younger than 18, the application is filled out by the legal representative, while the students older than 18 submit the application to the chosen family doctors by themselves, IPN reports, with reference to a press release of the Company.
If the student returns to the place of residence, the application is submitted to the family doctor who serves his family, according to the domicile. If this does not return daily, the application can be filed with the family doctor who serves the area where the student has the permanent or temporary domicile, at the dorm or the rented accommodation.
When the family doctor is changed and a doctor from another medical institution is chosen, the applicants must submit in person the application signed by the chosen doctor to the local customer service of the National Health Insurance Company.
