The fifth-twelfth graders are invited to take part in the national creation contest “Letter to the Mother”. The letters in electronic form can be sent to the email addresses scrisoaremamei@gmail.com (Romanian) and pismomame2015@gmail.com (Russian) by February 25, IPN reports.
According to the Chisinau General Division of Education, Youth and Sport, the contest is designed to raise the awareness of the young generation, to promote creativity and to identity and promote young talents. Another goal is to motivate the young people to respect their parents, to promote the family values and to cultivate social-human values. “The objective of the contest is to keep and promote the relations and natural ties between parents and children at sentimental and spiritual levels,” it is said in the Division’s press release.
The top prize of the contest is 2,000 lei, the second prize – 1 500 lei, while the third prize – 1 000 lei. There will also be five prizes of 500 lei each.
The contest is staged by the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport of the Chisinau Municipal Council, the Languages Faculty of the State University of Moldova and the public association “Platforma Socrate”, with the assistance of a commercial bank.
