The Parliament’s Communication and Public Relations Department said that until September 20, on the occasion of the International Day of Democracy, a series of activities intended for different age categories will be staged.

Dozens of children and young people from all over the country come to the events held as part of the legislative openness week. They will have the opportunity to discuss with parliamentarians of the Republic of Moldova.

The Parliament has also prepared activities for primary and secondary school students, with the aim of cultivating the democratic and civic spirit of the young generation.

The virtual tour of the Parliament is launched this week. Thus, people who cannot reach the Parliament Building have the opportunity to get to know the most important rooms, including the hall where the plenary sittings take place, Europa Hall and the Parliament‘s museum.

The International Day of Democracy has been marked in Moldova every year on September 15 since 2007, when the UN General Assembly adopted a Resolution on the need to strengthen democratic processes.
