Twelfth graders from Chisinau will be involved in cleanup activities on March 23. The students will clean the territories of the education institutions and the adjoining areas and the territories of the kindergartens located nearby, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Valentina Cujba, deputy head of the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport, has told Info-Prim Neo that the cleanup will start at 12 noon. The classes that will not be given that day will be taught on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
The students are taking part in the activities voluntarily. No cases where witnessed the previous years when the students refused to take part in the cleanup in schools. The teachers will work together with the students. The parents also join in. The students are outfitted with gloves, brooms, rakes and sacks.
Valentina Cujba also said that the children usually suggest themselves carrying out the cleanup campaign. The local children’s council set up five groups of students who will clean the parks and the banks of the Byk River.
The Chisinau City Hall launched the general cleanup campaign on March 14. It will end on March 31 with the Cleaning Day themed “Come on, Chisinau!”.
