Approximately 100 students and teachers of artistic and technical professional education institutions, who achieved remarkable results in the course of 2017 within national and international contests and festivals, were awarded at the Young Talents Gala on January 19, IPN reports.
The laureates received diplomas and money awards varying between 1,500 and 3,000 lei. The prize money this year was 180,000 lei.
Attending the award ceremony, Andrei Chistol, secretary of state for culture at the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, said the event is a defining one for the development of culture, education of the young generation and supporting of this in the national schools.
The secretary of state thanked the parents and teachers for the made effort and voiced hope that in the future they will together continue to promote the image of Moldovan culture in the country and abroad.
The Young Talents Gala 2017 was the second event of the kind.
