The works to mark the streets in the capital city will begin on May 16. The crosswalks near education institutions will be marked the first. After transversal marking, the workers will switch over to longitudinal marking works.
Contacted by IPN for details, the director of the municipal road maintenance company “Exdrupo” Marcel Zastînceanu said the marking works were to be launched today, but were put off for tomorrow owing to the rainy weather. The first works will be executed in Râșcani district.
The company that won the tender contest supplied the first 18 tonnes of paint. This is almost half of the quantity needed at the first road marking stage. As many as 70 tonnes of paint will be used at the second stage in September.
A sum of about 2 million lei will be spent on the acrylic paint.
