The Cabinet agreed the strategy for developing the information technology sector and the ecosystem for digital innovation for 2018-2023 and the plan of action for implementing this, IPN reports.
The strategy is designed to create a competitive IT business environment, to develop the human capital in the ICT sector, to augment the innovations and investments in the sector and to increase the export of IT products and services.
Under the document, a network of digital ambassadors of Moldova will be created to promote the local IT industry at international level. The Organization for the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises will provide small grants for investment projects aimed at increasing the productivity of companies by using IT solutions.
The strategy will be implemented at a cost of about 240 million lei. The money will be allocated mainly by the business community and the development partners.
