A large fire occurred at a storehouse near Vulcănești town in the morning of March 5. When at the scene, the firefighters established that eight sections of the storehouse, where combustible materials were kept, were on fire.
According to the General Inspectorate for Emergencies, the call to the 112 service was made at about 8am. The firemen localized the fire in about 50 minutes and fully extinguished it by 9am. No one was hurt in the fire. The dense smoke expanded to a number of quarters.
Snejana Tucan, press officer of the Găgăuzia Police Division, has told IPN that the violation of the security norms for keeping combustible materials is the preliminary cause of fire. Experts are working on the spot. The damage caused by the fire hasn’t been yet assessed.
