Stoplights were placed at two junctures with heavier traffic in Botanica district of Chisinau, at the intersection of the streets Grenoble and Cuza-Vodă and at the intersection of Independenței St with the streets Tudor Strișcă and Hristo Botev, IPN reports.
The Chisinau City Hall said the traffic lights set up at the two intersections to fluidize traffic are based on LEDs and are managed through GSM/3G. They are also outfitted with acoustic devices for visually impaired persons and data collection sensors, which will ensure the adaptive management of transport at rush hour.
The works cost 2.87 million lei. The money was allocated from the municipal budget.
