The stoplights at two intersections in Chisinau were disconnected three days ago and may not be switched on anymore. These are the traffic lights located at the intersection of the streets Constantin Negruzzi – Dimitrie Cantemir – Albisoara and at the intersection of the streets Petricani – Calea Orheiului – Tudor Vladimirescu. The Chisinau Transport Division and the Traffic Police decided to turn these stoplights off in order to reduce traffic congestion, Info-Prim Neo reports.
In the February 10 meeting of Chisinau City Hall officials, the head of the Public Transport and Communications Division Adrian Boldurescu said that no traffic accident happened during the three-day testing, while congestion in the areas was reduced.
The testing will continue during the next few days. If no problems appear, the stoplights in these intersections will be removed.
