About half of the education institutions working in the villages of Stefan Voda district are in need of major repair, the district's head Valeriu Berin told Minister of Education Leonid Bujor, who was paying a field visit, Info-Prim Neo reports. Leonid Bujor told the officials in Stefan Voda that the executive is looking for financial resources to solve the given problem. He informed that a part of the €100 million grant that Romania will provide to Moldova in financial assistance is projected to be allocated to rural education institutions for repairs, the Ministry of Education says in a communique. A number of rooms of a kindergarten in Stefan Voda were repaired with money allotted by the Ministry and international projects. But many children cannot attend the school as the other rooms have not been yet renovated. The Ministry donated furniture to the given kindergarten. Thirteen high schools and five secondary schools in the district have been provided with computers under the Quality Education in Rural Areas Project that is implemented by the Ministry of Education. The local public authorities purchased 30 computers.
