Stefan Stoica will not lead the national football team of Moldova in the qualifying rounds of the 2018 World Cup. Vladimir Tincler, a member of the Executive Committee of the Moldovan Football Federation, stated for a TV channel that the Romanian coach does not deserve training the national squad as this suffered three defeats under his command, IPN reports.
“Stoica will not train the national team. Why should he? We waited to see a good result in the match against Azerbaijan, but didn’t see it. The people will not understand. The national team suffered three consecutive defeats,” stated Vladimir Tincler.
The post of Moldova manager could be occupied by Igor Dobrovolski, Lilian Popescu or Ion Testemitanu. The new coach will be chosen in the last meeting of the Executive Committee, on December 23. Moldova suffered seven defeats in the ten games played this year and scored no victory.
