The situation at the national football team of Moldova is now uncertain. The president of the Moldovan Football Federation Pavel Cebanu said he does not know if Stefan Stoica remains to train the national squad, IPN reports.
Stoica held the post of coach on an interim basis in the matches against Russia, Sweden, and Azerbaijan, which Moldova lost. “We probably expected a better result in Baku, but we should not forget that we played away. The Executive Committee will decide if Stoica remains the coach of Moldova,” Pavel Cebanu stated for a TV channel.
Stefan Stoica was named manager of the national football team in September, after Alexandru Curteian tendered his resignation. Stoica trains in parallel Zimbru, which will play against Sheriff this Sunday, November 22.
The national squad scored no victory in the last seventeen games played. Moldova won last in May 2014, when it beat Saudi Arabia.
