“We are that team that, without hesitation and dubious compromises, will defend the public interest,” said the Paty of Change’s candidate for mayor of the municipality of Chisinau Ștefan Gligor. In the event held to launch his election campaign, the party’s leader leveled criticism at the current local administration and at other candidates, urging unity against corruption and populism, IPN reports.
Ștefan Gligor launched his campaign in front of Național Hotel, which, as he said, he protected from demolition and from obscure interests. “Those who follow the political and civic agenda know that I act in a direct manner, I’m not afraid, do not accept lie and believe in justice. I came today before you with the team of the Party of Change – candidates for mayor in four localities of the municipality of Chisinau, a candidate for mayor of the municipality of Chisinau and candidates for local municipal councilors. I ask for support and for a vote of confidence for me and the Party of Change’s team,” said the candidate.
He urged to unite against corruption and populism. “The municipality of Chisinau more than ever now needs local councilors, municipal councilors and persons who cannot be intimidated, cannot be scared, blackmailed and, what’s more important, cannot be bought. A mayor general of the municipality of Chisinau who cannot be intimidated, blackmailed and, what’s more important, cannot be bought is now needed more than ever,” noted Ștefan Gligor.
“I respectfully ask you to give us a vote of confidence as there is no other more important city for the Republic of Moldova and there is no other team than the team of the Party of Change which can bring things in order primarily at the Chisinau City Hall.”
As it was decided by draw, Ștefan Gligor of the Party of Change will be next to No. 28 on the ballot.
