The main artery of Chisinau was unblocked. The section of Stefan cel Mare Blvd between the streets Banulescu Bodoni and Serghei Lazo is now accessible to traffic. The truck and the several dozen cars that were parked on the roadway were taken away, IPN reports.
In the morning of October 12, traffic in the center of Chisinau was paralyzed after members and sympathizers of the Political Party “Our Party” blocked the main artery of the city. Traffic jams appeared downtown and many people were late for work.
Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca described the blocking of traffic on Stefan cel Mare Boulevard as illegal and as an act showing disrespect for the residents of the capital city. He requested the local Legal Assistance Division to prepare a requisition for being fsubmitted to the municipal Prosecutor’s Office.
