Statements of residence for September referendum accepted until August 5

To be able to participate in the referendum on September 5 and be included in the voter roll of a particular area of residence, eligible voters who changed their residence from the latest elections must announce their new address at the local administration bodies via a statement of residence until August 5 inclusive, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Central Election Commission. An application form is available on the CEC’s website at http://www.cec.md. The application shall be filed by the applicant in person together with the presentation of the identity document and the residence certificate, in original and a copy. The applications submitted for participation in the 2009 polls are not valid any longer since they are one-use only.
