The State University of Moldova will prepare specialists in biopharmaceutical chemistry, IPN reports, quoting a decision taken by the Government. The initiative was put forward by the Ministry of Education as the pharmaceutical industry is developing swiftly, while the invention of new medicines is based on fundamental knowledge in chemistry and biochemistry.

The graduates of the new specialty will be able to work as chemists in laboratories for analyzing medical preparations, research labs and labs for studying the efficiency of drugs, for testing and removing side effects at drug making companies.
