The State Tax Service plans to modify the methodology of inspecting the economic entities. “The number of inspections will be reduced and they will be replaced with sectoral inspections,” said the head of the State Main Tax Inspectorate Nicolae Platon, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
“The inspections will cover all the companies working in a given area. Earlier, only some of the companies that were not loyal enough to the power were checked. We aim to identify the violations and determine the causes why the fiscal legislation is not observed. The new methodology will put all the companies in equal conditions,” Nicolae Platon explained.
Additional assistance will be provided to companies by creating regional consultancy centers. Information about the fiscal practices will be published on the State Tax Service's website so that the economic entities get used to voluntarily fulfilling their obligations to the state, Platon said.
A state-run Continuous Fiscal Training Center will be set up. From September, the taxpayers will have access to the common accounts of the taxpayer. They will be able to see how the taxes are paid and if they have historical or current debts.
The fiscal inspectors during the first three months of this year carried out 121 inspections at companies, 2.5 times fewer compared with the corresponding period last year.
