An agent of the Ministry of the Interior's Security Services state company was hospitalized after being shot by one of his colleagues.
Simion Grajdean, deputy head of the company's HR department, told IPN that the incident happened on Wednesday, December 10, on the premises of the Bodyguards and Operative Reactions Division, during the change of guards. One member of the operative group accidentally pulled the trigger when handing over a Makarov pistol and shot a mate in his thigh.
Simion Grajdean said that an inquiry commission was created to investigate the shooting and establish the exact circumstances.
Petru Cravet, press officer of the Emergency Hospital, told IPN that the doctors diagnosed a gun injury on the victim's right thigh. He is hospitalized in the surgery ward and his life is out of danger.
