State Registration Chamber registered 301 Transnistrian companies

Between January and March 2007, the State Registration Chamber has registered 31 companies from the Transnistrian region, including provisory registration with IDNO Code – 18 economic entities (171 in all), and permanent registration – 13 economic entities (130 in all). On the whole there are 301 economic entities registered, both provisory and permanent. All these companies are allowed to perform export operations to the EU member countries and CIS. The Customs Service issued 316 preferential origin certificates of “A” type to 12 companies from Transnistria, permanently registered at the State Registration Chamber for international trade with EU countries. In 2007, two more companies from Transnistria requested the “A” type certificates and started export operations to the EU countries. In the reported period, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova issued 1665 origin certificates for export, including 1443 – C type and 222 – preferential (CT-1-190, EUR-32). Out of 301 companies registered by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova, 45 requested certificates in January – March 2007. The State Licensing Chamber issued 6 licenses for different types of activity to companies from Transnistria. According to a press release of the Ministry of Reintegration, quoted by Info-Prim Neo, the sums paid by the companies from Transnistria are paid back without delays. During the reported period, 1 permanently registered company and five companies registered for a provisory period (14 requests) requested these sums of money. About MDL 736.3 thousand were paid back. The Government decided to offer preferential certificates for the export of goods to the countries of the European Union and Commonwealth of Independent States for all economic entities from Transnistria, both for those who asked permanent or temporary registration with the State Registration Chamber. Until now, only the permanently registered companies were granted certificates.
