The Parliament annulled the state marks used on the export of alcoholic products, modifying the law on the manufacture and circulation of ethyl alcohol and alcoholic beverages by a majority vote on December 4, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Minister of Agriculture Valeriu Cosarciuc said the annulment of the state marks will enable the economic entities to more efficiently promote exports.
The Communist MPs refused to vote, saying the measure will hinder tracking the alcoholic products.
Under the amended law, the distribution of alcoholic beverages unmarked with excise stamps or marked with forged excise stamps and the counterfeiting of alcoholic products is punished with the withdrawal of the license, which cannot be renewed.
