The Material Reserves Agency is to immediately release 10,000 tons of crude oil from the state supplies to SA Termoelectrica. The crude oil is lent until July 1, 2023 and will be used to produce electrical energy and heat. This is provided in a decision taken by the Commissions for Exceptional Situations, IPN reports.

The Commission also decided to extend the period during which SA Energocom can purchase electricity based on direct negotiations until December 2022. The measure was taken in a move to satisfy the needs of electricity given the shortage resulting from Russia’s attacks on the Ukrainian energy infrastructure and the reduction of the amounts of gas supplied to Moldova by Gazprom.

The Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development is to approve the methodology for distributing heat consumption and consumption cost between consumers of an apartment building connected to the collective heating system. The measure will be applied to ensure economic equality between all the dwellers of such blocks until a relevant Government decision is approved.

The Commission decided to allocate 181,600 lei from the Government’s Reserve Fund to local social assistance divisions for providing bonuses for work performed in high risk conditions. Over 5.2 million lei will be allocated for maintaining the temporary placement centers for refugees.
