“Dear and not really dear representatives of the SIS, representatives of the Central Election Commission and of the Prosecutor General’s Office, what else should happen in the Republic of Moldova for you to start to act? The Republic of Moldova is under a state of emergency owing to the security issues in the region. How is it possible for foreign services, intelligence services to conduct a large-scale nationwide operation to corrupt voters and to manipulate the elections?” the leader of the Party of Change Ștefan Gligor asked in a news conference at IPN.

According to him, the task of the Federal Security Service of Russia is to ensure that 2/3 of Moldova’s population after these elections live with mayors controlled from outside the country. “What kind of EU candidate state are we? What kind of justice sector reform have you, those from the PAS, done? I address Prime Minister Dorin Recean, who is involved in campaigning and disseminates brochures. I address the minister of the interior who I cannot understand who he is and what he does. I address the SIS director who hasn’t yet shown that he deserves that post. I address the Central Election Commission that possesses all the necessary information to remove the Chance Party and its clones from the electoral competition,” stated Ștefan Gligor.

The leader of the Party of Change referred also to the situation in the ATU Gagauzia. According to him, the Bashkan election was a sample of electoral corruption and a rehearsal before the general local elections. “What did our authorities do? What did the National Anticorruption Center, the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office, PCCOCS, the Prosecutor General’s Office, the SIS do? Nothing! To say it better, I consider that what they did is ineffective as no result was seen. The result is that the People’s Assembly and the Executive Committee of Gagauzia opened special accounts to which tens of millions of euros is transferred for megalomaniac projects announced by this Guțul and this People’s Assembly that regrouped around Shor and Guțul,” stated Ștefan Gligor.

He wondered how it is possible for the whole political system and the law reinforcement system of the Republic of Moldova to be sabotaged and subdued before the eyes of the responsible institutions. “You, those from the Cabinet, Mister Prime Minister Recean, what do you do? What do you turn your attention to? You are the head of the Commission for Exceptional Situations amidst an ongoing war in the region and amidst a situation of insecurity. What do you all do? Where are the CES decisions on the elimination of the destabilization factor? Where are the decisions on the elimination of the Chance Party as a destabilizing factor and a direct danger to national security, of Maxim Moroșan, the chairman of the Party of Socialists in Balti – a direct danger to national security? Where are the CES decisions on the situation in the ATU Gagauzia? You have this instrument of absolute power that you are afraid to use. You know to speak about the European values, but don’t know to ensure order and legality in this country,” said Ștefan Gligor.

According to him, organized crime meanwhile uses the illegal corruption and illegal financing instruments to distort the upcoming elections and these elections will be therefore neither free nor fair.
