State Hydrometeorology Service will be transferred to vicinity of Codru town

The Meteorological Station from Chisinau, the Republican Aerologic Station and the administrative complex of the State Hydrometeorology Service will be transferred from Grenoble Street 259, to a new territory, owned by the state, with an area of 4.63 hectares from the vicinity of Codru town within Chisinau municipality. According to a Governmental order published in the last issue of the “Official Monitor of the Republic of Moldova”, the project and the construction of the new site will be accomplished by the ”Exdecom” Ltd, a foreign company that will transfer the mentioned services and the administrative complex using its own financial resources. The stations and administrative complex of the State Hydrometeorology Service, with all infrastructures and with a residential district, currently spread from Cuza Voda, Valea Crucii and Grenoble Streets, will be developed and built by the beneficiary as a single urban complex. „Exdezcom” will compensate the loss caused by the exclusion of 4.63 hectares of terrain from the agricultural circuit. The company will also remove the fertile layers of the ground from the construction site. The Government recommended the City Hall of Chisinau to support the State Hydrometeorology Service and „Exdezcom” company in completing the documents required for the transfer of the mentioned structures and for the construction of the residential district from Grenoble Street. Previously, the administration of the Hydrometeorology Service requested from the Government to move the meteorological stations outside the city, as the tall living blocks from the current vicinity hamper the collection of meteorological data.
