In 2020, state budget financing of cultural projects of non-commercial organizations will be based on new regulations, while the deadline for submission of cultural projects is December 8, 2019.
A cultural project can receive 80% of its cost from state funds, ranging from 100 thousand to 200 thousand lei per project, said the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research. The other 20% are covered by the non-commercial organizations or through co-financing.
State budget funds will be granted in two installments. The first will be granted after the conclusion of the contract, which is 70% of its value. The second installment will only be granted after the end of the project.
The submitted projects to the contest must target one of the seven thematic areas: art; theater; music and dance; festival-type projects; education through culture; promoting written culture; cultural heritage.
The state budget designated for cultural projects constitutes 5 million lei annually.
